SB 1277 Summary

• Adds the fourth Monday in March as "Cesar Chavez Day" to Arizona's list of official holidays in A.R.S. § 1-301.

• Renumbers all subsequent holidays in the statute to accommodate the new holiday (Mothers' Day becomes item 6, Memorial Day becomes item 7, etc.).

• Updates subsection B to include Cesar Chavez Day in the list of holidays that do not have a Monday observance when falling on Sunday.

• Updates subsection C to reflect the new paragraph numbering for holidays that have Friday observance when falling on Saturday.

• Repeals A.R.S. § 1-308 entirely.
