Adds volunteer sheriff's posse members to workers' compensation coverage under Arizona law as county employees for injuries arising from authorized and supervised duties.

Defines eligible posse members as those in good standing with the sheriff's office who were authorized to carry a weapon and injured while performing duties such as prisoner transport, traffic control, crime scene security, or search and rescue operations.

Removes previous language that limited workers' compensation coverage for sheriff's posse members to only search and rescue missions.

Entitlement to benefits applies only when injuries or deaths result from performance of duties that were authorized and directed by the sheriff's office.

Effective date: December 31, 2012.
