AZ SB1394

Prohibits public officers and employees from using public funds to print, mail, broadcast, transmit or otherwise convey promotional or informational materials featuring the face or voice of any candidate for public office during the one-year period before an election.

Defines a candidate as a person who circulates a nomination petition, registers an exploratory committee, or is named in a candidate campaign committee registration under Title 16, Chapter 6.

Exempts lawful expenditures of Citizens Clean Elections Commission monies by candidates from this prohibition.

Amends Title 38, Chapter 3, Article 8 of Arizona Revised Statutes by adding section 38-504.01.
