AZ SB1426

Amends Arizona Revised Statutes section 15-426 regarding school district elections and the oath of office for governing board members.

Requires governing board members to subscribe to the oath of office and have it forwarded to the county school superintendent on the same day.

Beginning in 2013, authorizes the county school superintendent to declare a board member's office vacant if the member has not subscribed to the oath of office by January 1 following their election or appointment.

Provides that vacant offices declared under this provision shall be filled by the county school superintendent according to section 15-302.
