Amends Arizona Revised Statutes Section 15-424 regarding school district governing board elections.

Allows the board of supervisors to cancel an election for a district office if only one person files a nominating petition or nomination paper, no earlier than 75 days before the election.

If one candidate files, the board may appoint that person to the office and the county school superintendent must issue a certificate of election.

If no candidates file for an office, the board may cancel the election and the position is deemed vacant to be filled according to Section 15-302.

A person appointed under these provisions has full powers and duties of the office as if elected.
