Honors Native American veterans who have served in the United States armed forces for their exceptional service, patriotism and courage.

Recognizes approximately 20,000 Native American veterans residing in Arizona, including 12,000 Navajo, 5,000 Hopi, 1,000 Apache, 1,000 Tohono O'odham and 1,000 from remaining tribal nations.

Acknowledges that Arizona's tribal members have served in the military in disproportionately higher numbers and deserve praise and support for their sacrifices.

Recognizes veterans' projects and memorials including the veterans' home in Chinle, the Navajo Code Talkers museum and veterans complex, and veterans' cemeteries in Round Rock and on the Pascua Yaqui reservation as fitting tributes.

Expresses that the state and nation owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to all veterans, particularly Native American veterans who have fought to protect the nation's freedoms.
