AZ SCR1029

Enacts a measure for voter approval that prohibits photo enforcement systems from being used by local authorities or state agencies to identify violators of traffic articles 3 and 6.

Repeals existing sections 28-1202, 28-1203, 28-1204, and 28-1205 of Arizona Revised Statutes and establishes a new section 28-1202 with an outright prohibition on photo enforcement systems.

Removes provisions from section 28-1593 that required law enforcement agencies using photo enforcement systems to inform violators that they have no obligation to identify the driver or respond to citations.

Repeals section 28-1602 of Arizona Revised Statutes.

Directs the Secretary of State to submit this proposition to voters at the next general election for approval.
