AZ HB2006

Amends Arizona Revised Statutes section 38-711 to add a new definition of "political subdivision entity" to the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS) provisions.

Defines "political subdivision entity" as an entity located in Arizona that is created by political subdivisions, where a majority of membership consists of political subdivisions, and whose primary purpose is performing government-related services.

Adds political subdivision entities to the list of employers covered under ASRS, alongside the state and participating political subdivisions.

Excludes employees of political subdivision entities who are hired on or after the effective date of this amendment from ASRS membership.
