AZ HB2008

Amends Arizona Revised Statutes section 15-443 regarding formation of new common school districts in unorganized territory.

Changes the language in subsection A(2) from "Set forth" to "Sets forth" to correct the verb form regarding how petitions must describe district boundaries.

Maintains existing requirements that petitions must be signed by parents or guardians of at least ten pupils who are residents more than four miles from any existing school district schoolhouse.

Preserves provisions requiring new common school districts formed after July 1, 1988 to levy taxes at rates not less than those prescribed in section 15-971, subsection B, paragraph 2.
