AZ HB2270

Amends Arizona Revised Statutes section 15-1626 to require the Arizona Board of Regents to partner with specific industries to develop tailored higher education programs in coordination with the Arizona Commerce Authority and universities under the board's jurisdiction.

Requires the Arizona Commerce Authority to provide the Arizona Board of Regents with a list on or before October 1 of each year identifying industries that pay wages exceeding the statewide average wage, which shall be the target industries for program development.

Mandates the Arizona Board of Regents submit reports on or before February 1 in years 2014, 2015, and 2016 summarizing the results of industry partnerships and programs to the Governor, legislative leadership, and relevant education committees.

Requires copies of the industry partnership reports to be provided to the Arizona Secretary of State.
