AZ HB2291

Prohibits public servants and federally licensed firearm dealers in Arizona from enforcing federal laws relating to firearms, firearm accessories, or ammunition that are manufactured or owned within Arizona and remain exclusively within state borders.

Prohibits federal officials, agents, or employees from enforcing federal firearm laws on firearms, accessories, or ammunition manufactured or owned in Arizona that remain within state borders; violation is a class 6 felony.

Authorizes the Arizona Attorney General to defend state citizens prosecuted by the federal government for manufacturing, selling, transferring, or possessing firearms, accessories, or ammunition owned and retained exclusively within Arizona.

Declares unenforceable within Arizona any federal law, rule, regulation, or order effective on or after January 1, 2013 that bans or restricts ownership of semiautomatic firearms or firearm magazines, or requires registration of firearms, magazines, or firearm accessories.

Defines "public servant" to include state and local government officers, employees, legislators, judges, and persons participating in government functions as jurors, witnesses, advisors, or consultants.
