• Requires Arizona public high school principals or head teachers to verify in writing that pupils have recited a constitutional oath before graduation beginning in the 2013-2014 school year.

• The required oath pledges to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, and to bear true faith and allegiance to it.

• Mandates that pupils take the oath freely, without mental reservation or purpose of evasion, and commit to well and faithfully discharging these duties.

• Adds section 15-701.03 to Arizona Revised Statutes as an additional graduation requirement alongside existing course of study and assessment requirements.
