AZ HCM2006

Urges the United States Congress to enact the DREAM Act to provide a pathway to legal residency and citizenship for undocumented youth who arrived in the country as minors.

Requires eligible youth to meet conditions including high school graduation or GED, college attendance or military service, maintenance of good moral character, and payment of fees to obtain legal status.

Repeals current penalties preventing states from offering in-state tuition to undocumented immigrants regardless of immigration status.

Estimates the DREAM Act could generate $1.4 trillion to $3.6 trillion in income over a 40-year period and provide a highly educated, multilingual workforce for economic competitiveness.

Directs the Arizona Secretary of State to transmit copies of this memorial to the President of the U.S. Senate, Speaker of the House, and all Arizona members of Congress.
