AZ SB1051

Amends Arizona Revised Statutes section 15-341 to require school district governing boards to prescribe and enforce policies prohibiting pupils from harassing, intimidating, and bullying other pupils based on actual or perceived sexual orientation.

Expands existing bullying policy requirements to explicitly include harassment and intimidation based on sexual orientation at school grounds, school property, school buses, school-sponsored events and activities, and through electronic technology on school computers and networks.

Requires bullying policies to maintain existing components including confidential reporting procedures, staff reporting requirements, victim notification and support services, incident documentation, investigation procedures, disciplinary consequences, and false report penalties.

Applies to all school settings where bullying policies are required, including on school property, at school bus stops, at school-sponsored activities, and through electronic communications on school systems.
