AZ SB1184

Prohibits public officers and employees from using public funds to print, mail, broadcast, or distribute promotional or informational materials featuring the face or voice of any candidate for public office for one year before an election.

Defines a candidate as any person who circulates a nomination petition, registers an exploratory committee, or registers a candidate campaign committee under Arizona law.

Exempts expenditures of Citizens Clean Elections Commission monies by candidates from this prohibition.

Adds section 38-504.01 to Arizona Revised Statutes Title 38, Chapter 3, Article 8.
