The online system must verify voter eligibility and identity to ensure only qualified registered voters can sign petitions for candidates they are eligible to support.

Allows candidates for statewide and legislative offices to choose whether to collect some, all, or none of their nomination petition signatures through the online system.

Applies exclusively to candidates running for statewide and legislative offices, not local candidates.
