Amends Arizona Revised Statutes section 13-3102 to add a new paragraph 17 making it a crime for a prohibited possessor to attempt to possess a deadly weapon or prohibited weapon.

The offense of attempting to possess a deadly weapon as a prohibited possessor is classified as a class 4 felony under the amended statute.

Applies specifically to individuals who are prohibited possessors under section 13-3101, subsection A, paragraph 7, subdivision (b).

Adds the attempt offense to existing misconduct involving weapons statute, bringing attempted weapon possession under the same regulatory framework as actual weapon possession by convicted felons.
