AZ SB1396

Amends Arizona Revised Statutes section 28-901 regarding school bus operations and passenger capacity requirements.

Prohibits stopping a school bus to receive or discharge children on paved state highways where the posted speed limit exceeds 45 miles per hour.

Requires vehicles carrying children to and from school to stop on the same side of the highway on which the school is located when receiving or discharging students.

Maintains existing prohibitions on operating school buses while carrying more passengers than can be properly seated or while passengers are standing.
