SB 1428 Summary

• Requires all real estate license applicants to obtain a valid fingerprint clearance card issued pursuant to A.R.S. § 41-1758.03 before receiving a license.

• Authorizes the department to suspend a licensee's license if their fingerprint clearance card becomes invalid and they fail to submit a new valid card within 10 days of notification.

• Requires licensees who disclose a criminal conviction or for whom the department has evidence of an undisclosed criminal record to submit a valid fingerprint clearance card before or at the time of license renewal.

• Expands the definition of "license applicant" to include individuals exercising control of entity applicants for real estate school certificates and persons with undisclosed criminal records applying for license renewals or public reports for various real estate operations.
