Requires child care personnel, including volunteers, to submit fingerprint clearance forms and obtain valid fingerprint clearance cards issued pursuant to section 41-1758.07 within seven working days of employment or starting volunteer work.

Exempts parents, foster parents, and guardians who are not facility employees from fingerprinting requirements if they attest that they have not been convicted of or awaiting trial for offenses listed in section 41-1758.07, subsection B, or similar offenses in another state.

Requires applicants, licensees, and child care personnel to attest they have not been convicted of specified offenses, are not parents of adjudicated dependent children, and have not had child care certifications or licenses denied or revoked.

Requires employers to make documented, good faith efforts to contact previous employers of child care personnel to obtain information relevant to their fitness for employment.

Prohibits child care facilities from employing or allowing volunteers who have been denied fingerprint clearance cards or have not received interim board approval, and requires employers to notify the Department of Public Safety if personnel are arrested for relevant offenses or falsify required forms.
