AZ SCR1016

Proposes amendment to Article II, Section 3 of the Arizona Constitution to allow the state to exercise sovereign authority and restrict use of state personnel and financial resources for federal actions deemed inconsistent with the U.S. Constitution.

Authorizes the state to take action through three methods: passing an initiative or referendum, passing legislation, or pursuing other available legal remedies to address unconstitutional federal actions.

Prohibits Arizona and its political subdivisions from using any personnel or financial resources to enforce, administer, or cooperate with a federal action or program that the state has designated as unconstitutional.

Reaffirms that the U.S. Constitution remains the supreme law of the land to which all government, state and federal, is subject.

Requires submission of the proposed constitutional amendment to Arizona voters at the next general election for approval.
