Honors the Honorable Bill Konopnicki, former member of the Arizona House of Representatives from the Fifth Legislative District, who passed away on October 17, 2012, at age 67.

Recognizes his service as chairman of the Financial Institutions and Insurance Committee and the Natural Resources Committee during four legislative terms beginning in 2002.

Notes his receipt of the 2008 Legislator of the Year award from the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry and his reputation as a principled and respected public servant.

Acknowledges his extensive charitable work with the Boy Scouts of America, Boys and Girls Clubs, Ronald McDonald Houses, and his service as bishop and stake president in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Expresses the Legislature's sincere regret for his passing and extends deepest sympathies to his surviving wife Cathy, four children, and ten grandchildren.
