Establishes a wildland-urban interface study committee with 11 members appointed by the state forester, including experts in city/county planning, wildland fire, forest management, property development, fire chiefs, property owners in high-risk areas, code inspectors, and a homeowner's insurance industry representative.

Committee members serve without compensation and must study and develop legislative recommendations on defensible space creation, building codes for fire prevention, zoning ordinances for fire control, and other wildland-urban fire prevention matters.

Committee must submit findings and legislative recommendations to the governor, senate president, and house speaker by December 31, 2014, with a copy provided to the secretary of state.

Committee is repealed effective September 30, 2015.
