Amends section 44-329 of Arizona Revised Statutes regarding transitional provisions for unclaimed property reporting.

Replaces references to "the effective date of this chapter" with the specific date of January 1, 2001 in subsections A and B.

Initial reports for property not previously required to be reported must include all items that would have been presumed abandoned within ten years before January 1, 2001, as if the current chapter had been in effect during that period.

Maintains that holders remain subject to duties that arose before January 1, 2001, and must comply with enforcement provisions and penalties from prior law if they failed to report, pay or deliver property.
