• Amends Arizona Revised Statutes section 19-119 regarding deceptive mailings in elections governed by initiative and referendum procedures.

• Prohibits individuals or committees from delivering or mailing documents that falsely purport to be from or authorized by state, county, city, town, or other political subdivision government in an attempt to influence election outcomes.

• Establishes civil penalty of twice the total mailing cost or $500, whichever is greater, for violations of the deceptive mailing prohibition.

• Authorizes the Arizona Attorney General, county attorney, city or town attorney, or other legal representative of the appropriate political subdivision to assess the civil penalty.
