Expands the scope of auricular acupuncture certificates to include treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder, in addition to existing authorization for alcoholism, substance abuse, and chemical dependency.

Requires certificate holders to complete a board-approved training program meeting or exceeding National Acupuncture Detoxification Association standards and a clean needle technique course.

Permits practice in board-approved acupuncture programs, licensed clinical offices under supervision, or substance abuse/chemical dependency/post-traumatic stress disorder programs approved by state or federal authorities.

Limits auricular acupuncture to a maximum of five acupuncture needles per ear per treatment.

Certificates remain valid for one year and are renewable upon submission of application and fee at least thirty days before expiration.
