AZ HB2579

Adds exemption from state transaction privilege tax (TPT) for waste collection receptacles and recycling receptacles manufactured in Arizona and purchased by counties, cities, towns, or other political subdivisions.

Prohibits municipalities from levying transaction privilege, sales, use, or similar taxes on the sale of waste collection and recycling receptacles manufactured in Arizona and purchased by political subdivisions.

Makes technical corrections to existing TPT law by replacing outdated language ("which") with current grammatical standards ("that") in multiple sections.

Repeals conflicting versions of sections 42-5061 and 42-6004 that were enacted in Laws 2013, chapter 255 to resolve statutory ambiguities.

Effective December 31, 2014.
