Charter schools must post available capacity for each grade level on their website, update this information monthly, and provide copies to the public upon request.

Existing enrollment preference policies remain unchanged, including preferences for returning students, siblings, district residents (for district-sponsored schools), and children/relatives of school employees and board members.

Charter schools must use equitable selection processes such as lotteries when applications exceed capacity, with preference given to siblings of selected students.

Charter schools cannot deny admission based on ethnicity, national origin, gender, income level, disability, English language proficiency, or athletic ability (except as otherwise permitted by law).

Charter schools may refuse admission to students who have been or are being expelled from another educational institution.
