Honors former Representative Ben Miranda, who passed away on November 15, 2013, at age 64.

Recognizes Miranda's service as a decorated Vietnam War veteran who received a Bronze Star from Senator Barry Goldwater and his career as a personal injury attorney representing notable clients including Cesar Chavez and Ernesto Miranda.

Documents his legislative service in the Arizona House of Representatives from 2002 to 2010, during which he served as chairman of the Arizona Latino Caucus and received the National Hispanic Caucus of State Legislators' John S. Martinez Leadership Award in 2007.

Acknowledges his extensive community involvement including service on boards for community colleges, school districts, and organizations such as the American Red Cross and Valle de Sol, as well as his donation of over $1 million to schools and charities.

Expresses the Legislature's deepest sympathies to his surviving family: his wife Representative Catherine Miranda, two daughters, and five grandchildren.
