AZ HCR2010

Proposes an amendment to Article XVI, Section 1 of the Arizona Constitution regarding composition of the state militia.

Removes the upper age limit of 45 years, making militia eligibility open to all capable citizens at least 18 years of age instead of those "between the ages of eighteen and forty-five years."

Retains requirements that militia members be capable of bearing arms and either residents of Arizona who declared intent to become U.S. citizens or residents who are at least 18 years old.

Maintains existing exemptions from militia service as established by U.S. or Arizona law.

Requires submission of the constitutional amendment to Arizona voters at the next general election.
