AZ HCR2014

Proposes amendment to Article II, Section 8 of the Arizona Constitution to expand privacy protections and establish an explicit right against unreasonable search and seizure.

Adds new constitutional language prohibiting unreasonable searches or seizures of a person's home, papers, electronic communications, or data.

Requires all search warrants to include: a description of the place to be searched or thing to be seized, probable cause, and support by written oath or affirmation.

Specifies that warrants for accessing electronic communications or data must meet the same requirements as warrants for physical searches.

Directs the Secretary of State to submit the proposed constitutional amendment to voters at the next general election.
