Calls on the National Park Service to facilitate discussions with the Peshlakai family and other displaced families regarding ancestral lands in Wupatki National Monument.

Supports congressional efforts to allow members of the Peshlakai family to retain residence and grazing rights in Wupatki National Monument after the death of Stella Peshlakai Smith.

Notes that Stella Peshlakai Smith holds a lifetime special use permit for residence in Wupatki National Monument, but the permit cannot be transferred to heirs or relatives and will revert to the National Park Service upon her death.

Acknowledges the Peshlakai family's historical presence in the area since 1870 when they returned from the Long Walk to Bosque Redondo, and that family members worked as custodians and residents of the monument area.

Requests the Legislature's support for resolving the situation of families with ancestral ties to lands within the 35,423.59-acre monument established in 1924.
