Notes that Arizona's population over age 85 is projected to reach 287,000 by 2032, and that approximately 70% of people with Alzheimer's disease live at home requiring assistance with daily activities.

Acknowledges that in 2009, an estimated 855,000 Arizona adults provided unpaid care valued at approximately $9.4 billion annually, representing 818 million hours of care.

Calls for supporting innovative and creative methods to assist family caregivers and developing qualified in-home care workforce recruitment and retention strategies.

Expresses support for state policies and programs addressing the needs of older, vulnerable, or disabled adults and their caregivers, as well as agencies providing information and education on supportive care.
