Clarifies that maintenance awards shall be "without regard to marital misconduct" while incorporating consideration of criminal convictions and domestic violence in the calculation.

Corrects statutory language from "results" to "resulted" regarding damages from criminal conduct and adds grammatical clarifications to the existing statute.

Preserves existing provisions allowing courts to maintain continuing jurisdiction over maintenance awards and permitting spouses to mutually agree that maintenance terms cannot be modified.
