Transfers operational authority of the mining and mineral museum from the Arizona Historical Society to the Arizona Geological Survey, effective with the passage of this act.

Establishes a separate account within the geological survey fund to hold monies received from museum entrance fees and gift shop operations, to be used exclusively for museum maintenance and operations.

Removes the state geologist designee requirement from the centennial museum advisory council membership, reducing the council from 10 members to 9 members.

Clarifies that the centennial museum and mining and mineral museum are separate entities, removing language from multiple statutes that previously described them as a single combined facility.

Authorizes the Arizona Geological Survey to establish entrance fees, operate a retail gift shop, employ a curator, and pay necessary maintenance and operation expenses for the mining and mineral museum.
