AZ SB1024

Prohibits employers from terminating an employee who is a parent, guardian, or custodian of a child for leaving work to attend to a child's emergency after being notified by a school employee, community worker, or law enforcement officer during work hours.

Prohibits employers from threatening to terminate an employee's employment for receiving notification of a child's emergency during work hours and leaving work to address it.

Allows employers to terminate or threaten termination if an employee excessively abuses the protections provided by this law.

Adds new section 23-205 to Arizona Revised Statutes governing employment practices and working conditions.
