AZ SB1082

Authorizes the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS) director to conduct criminal records checks on current or prospective employees by requiring fingerprint submission to the Department of Public Safety for state and federal criminal background verification.

Permits the director to conduct credit checks for accounting, investment, and other finance-related positions, with establishment of a policy that includes timing, record retention, and employee notification procedures.

Renumbers existing subsections of section 38-715 from E, F, and G to F, G, and H respectively to accommodate the new employee background check provisions.
