Appropriates $100,000 in fiscal year 2013-2014 from the state general fund to the legislature for legal representation, split equally between the Senate ($50,000) and House of Representatives ($50,000).

Funds may be used to provide legal representation to current and former legislators who are subpoenaed or requested to produce documents in civil actions related to their legislative status and would otherwise pay representation costs themselves.

Excludes use of appropriated funds for legal representation relating to production of campaign documents only.

Appropriation is exempt from lapsing provisions under Arizona Revised Statutes section 35-190, allowing unspent funds to carry forward.
