AZ SB1305

Adds section 9-808 to Arizona Revised Statutes requiring cities and towns to apply their adopted codes and ordinances to locking devices for semipublic swimming pool barrier gates used for ingress or egress, effective December 31, 2014.

Requires new construction or major renovation of semipublic swimming pools after December 31, 2014 to meet the locking device requirements specified in adopted city or town codes.

Exempts existing locking devices installed before January 1, 2015 from the new requirements if they meet the standards prescribed in section 36-1681, subsection B, paragraph 3.

Amends section 11-861 to authorize county boards of supervisors to adopt codes and ordinances regarding semipublic swimming pool barrier gate locking devices under the same terms and exemptions as cities and towns.
