Amends Arizona Revised Statutes section 13-3102 to add a new subsection (A)(17) making it a class 4 felony for a prohibited possessor to attempt to possess a deadly weapon or prohibited weapon.

Defines a prohibited possessor under section 13-3101, subsection A, paragraph 7, subdivision (b), which includes convicted felons and certain other individuals statutorily barred from firearm possession.

Adds "or 17" to subsection (L) to classify attempted weapon possession by prohibited possessors as a class 4 felony, matching the penalty for other weapon possession violations.
