AZ SB1422

Prohibits public officers and employees from using public funds to print, mail, broadcast, or distribute promotional or informational materials featuring the face or voice of any candidate for public office during the one-year period before an election.

Defines a candidate as a person who circulates a nomination petition, registers an exploratory committee, or registers a candidate campaign committee under Arizona law.

Exempts lawful expenditures of Citizens Clean Elections Commission monies by candidates from the prohibition.
