Expands protected classes under Arizona employment discrimination law to include "gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation" in addition to existing protections for race, color, religion, age, national origin, and disability.

Replaces the term "sex" with "gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation" throughout Arizona Revised Statutes sections 41-1463 and 41-1464 regarding unlawful employment practices.

Adds exemption allowing religious organizations and educational institutions substantially controlled by religious organizations to make employment decisions based on gender, gender identity, expression, or sexual orientation when the position is directly related to religious functions or education provision.

Clarifies that employers are not required to maintain or retain records regarding an individual's or group's gender, gender identity, expression, or sexual orientation.

Updates grammatical language throughout the statutes, including replacing "which" with "that" and updating references from "his" to gender-neutral language.
