AZ SB1462

Directs the Arizona Department of Health Services to coordinate with tribal public health programs and the Indian Health Service to develop diabetes prevention protocols for Native American youth under 19 years of age in Arizona.

Requires the department to provide support to tribal public health programs for implementing the diabetes prevention protocols.

Mandates the department submit written progress reports to the governor, speaker of the house, and president of the senate by November 15, 2015, and at least every two years thereafter.

Appropriates $250,000 from the state general fund in fiscal year 2014-2015 to the Department of Health Services for implementation of this act.

Makes the appropriation exempt from lapsing provisions, allowing unspent funds to carry forward.
