Amends Section 44-329 of Arizona Revised Statutes regarding transitional provisions for unclaimed property reporting.

Replaces vague references to "the effective date of this chapter" with the specific date of January 1, 2001 in two locations within the statute.

Requires initial reports for property not previously subject to reporting requirements to include all items that would have been presumed abandoned within ten years before January 1, 2001.

Clarifies that holders remain subject to duties and penalties that arose before January 1, 2001 under prior law, except as provided in Section 44-321, subsection B.
