Replaces the term "sex" with "gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation" throughout Arizona's employment discrimination statutes to expand protected classes in hiring, compensation, and workplace conditions.

Adds a new exception allowing religious organizations and educational institutions substantially controlled by religious organizations to make employment decisions based on gender, gender identity, expression, or sexual orientation if the position is directly related to the organization's religious functions or education provision.

Updates statutory language by changing "which" to "that" and "such" to "an" for grammatical consistency throughout the employment discrimination provisions.

Clarifies that employers are not required to retain or maintain records regarding an individual's or group's gender, gender identity, expression, or sexual orientation.

Makes minor technical corrections including changing "upon" to "on," "of his" to "any," and "work force" to "workforce" in various employment discrimination provisions.
