Amends Arizona Revised Statutes Section 15-341 to add a new requirement for school district governing boards regarding academic interventions for struggling students.

Beginning in the 2017-2018 school year, school districts must maintain a confidential list of pupils with a grade-point average of 2.0 or lower on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) if sufficient monies are available.

School districts shall provide academic interventions to listed pupils until their grade-point average exceeds 2.0 on a 4.0 scale, including options such as tutoring, additional class time, sessions with subject specialists, or other appropriate interventions as determined by the governing board.

The specific academic interventions provided are to be determined by each governing board based on available resources and student needs.
