Amends Arizona Revised Statutes section 12-653.05 to modify the exception for libel and slander related to publications and broadcasts made before elections.

Changes the timeframe from 30 days to 40 days preceding an election during which publications or broadcasts designed to influence election results are exempt from libel and slander liability.

Updates language from "shall" to "does" and replaces archaic pronouns ("such") with contemporary language ("the").
