Amends Arizona Revised Statutes section 44-1649 to modify provisions regarding a joint legislative committee on metal theft.

Authorizes the president of the senate and speaker of the house of representatives for the 56th legislature, first regular session to appoint a joint legislative committee on metal theft composed of legislators.

Requires the committee to review the effectiveness of metal theft article provisions in deterring crime and the costs of compliance to affected industries.

Changes the committee's reporting deadline from December 1, 2023 to November 1, 2023.
