HB 2518 Summary

• Allows teachers with valid certificates for grades one through eight to teach kindergarten for one year without an early childhood endorsement.

• If a teacher does not obtain an early childhood endorsement during that one-year period, the teacher becomes ineligible to teach kindergarten in the following school year.

• Amends Arizona Revised Statutes section 15-203 regarding powers and duties of the state board of education.
