AZ HCR2005

Proposes amendment to Arizona Constitution to increase independent redistricting commission from 5 to 6 members, adding two independent (unaffiliated) members instead of one.

Changes nomination pool requirement from 25 to 30 candidates, with 10 from each major political party and 10 unaffiliated voters (instead of 5).

Requires one of the two independent members to serve as chair, with chair position determined by lot between the two independent members.

Increases quorum requirement from 3 to 4 commissioners and requires 4 affirmative votes (instead of 3) for official commission actions.

Requires voter approval through general election ballot before amendment takes effect.
